The Salar de Uyuni, in the middle of the Andes in southern Bolivia, is the largest salt flat in the world. It is the legacy of a prehistoric lake that dried up and left a desert landscape of nearly 11,000 square km of brilliant white salt, rock formations, and cactus islands.

Day 1
Start of the tour
Start time: 9:30 am
09:30 we start the tour: We will visit the Train Cemetery (old locomotives that were used to transport minerals), we continue to the indigenous community of Colchani, observation of the production of iodized salt in its rustic form, entering the white deserts in its fullness, typical extraction landscapes such as salt mounds, salt eyes, the first salt hotel now a museum of the place and later, Incahuasi Island, a typical place with the presence of giant cacti in a volcanic rock habitat.
Lunch in the center of the Salar (only in dry season)
We continue with the visit to the Town of Coquesa, where we will visit its famous mummies (700 years old BC, which preserve part of the skin, hair and nails almost intact), we will be able to observe the flamingos from the viewpoint of the Tunupa Volcano.
