Day 1
Free Biking Tour Bogotá
- Join one of our expert guides on this amazing bike tour through downtown Bogotá, and learn about the history and culture of the city.
- Bogotá is full of history, from its foundation to modern times, the city has spread around its vibrant center. Our bike tour was designed to show a larger face of this massive city and its more than 500 years of history, you will discover much more by bike than you would on foot or by bus!
- Then, join us on Seventh Avenue, the commercial lifeline that connects north and south. Originally it was an important salt road in the indigenous era, now it brings together Colombians from all walks of life in commerce, culture, politics and protests.
- Then we will go to the Independence Park: the oldest in the city. Around it, Bogotá cosmopolitanism can best be explored through the adjacent planetarium, the Santamaría Bullring, the Museum of Modern Art, and the surrounding neighborhoods. Science, art, history and culture collide and blend into this often controversial space.
- Then, visit the National Park , half forest-reservoir, cultural environment and scientific center. A typical weekend meeting for the inhabitants of Bogotá, where we will discuss the wider changes in Colombia as a whole.
- Then we will make our way back through the Parkway , part of the Soledad neighborhood. Bogotá first boulevard and another of its cultural and artistic centers where artists celebrate the white night, a meeting of artists that fills the boulevard with sculptures, performances, paintings and much more.
