This is one of our most colorful excursions, because we will not only visit the famous "Blue House", but you will also get to know the majestic architecture of the National Autonomous University of Mexico, the landscape of the picturesque center of Coyoacán and the colors of Xochimilco, place of flowers. The first stop will be in Coyoacán, whose name in Nahuatl means place of coyotes.
Here, our guide will give you an explanation about the origin and importance of this neighborhood and its surroundings, as well as giving you time to explore its streets.
Later, you will visit the Frida Kahlo house museum, or the "Blue House", where you will learn about the intense relationship between Frida, her work and her house, the place where she was born and died. Although when she married Diego Rivera she lived in different places in Mexico City and abroad, Frida always returned to her house in Coyoacán.
The journey continues to one of Frida Kahlo's favorite places, Xochimilco. Here you will not only get information about its origins, which date back to pre-Hispanic times, but you can also enjoy a trip on a trajinera, a traditional boat from this area.
Our last stop is Ciudad Universitaria. Our guide will explain the murals of the rectory and the central library of the National University campus.
