Our guided tour begins at the Zócalo. Here you will find great buildings such as the Cathedral and the National Palace. From here, we will walk along the iconic 5 de Mayo street, which honors the historic Mexican battle against the French. The Casa de los Azulejos, a jewel of the New Spanish Baroque, is also located on this street. We will finish with the historical tour at the Palace of Fine Arts, one of the most famous cultural centers in Mexico. This is not just an art venue, but an iconic opera house. To culminate the cultural visit, we will go to a taquería and try authentic Mexican tacos.
After working up an appetite, we'll explore the Mexican markets, a major draw for tourists, chefs, and foodies from around the world. We will start with the Mercado de San Juan. Here you will be amazed by the exotic animal meat, fruits, and insect delicacies. And there are still more! We will surprise you with a tasting of some of these foods and a shot of tequila or mezcal.
After free time to explore the food stalls, we will head to the Ciudadela Market. Our last stop is known for Mexican handicrafts, and the perfect place to buy your souvenirs. You will learn about its origin and history, and you will have the opportunity to visit its more than 350 stalls!
