In the southern area of the Cusco valley there is a whole legacy of colonial religious culture, very exquisite due to the presence of temples and churches from the 17th and 18th centuries, where the art expressed in its different manifestations such as carving, gold leaf, monumental paintings and pictures and a number of treasures preserved for many centuries.

Itinerary
Day 1
Start of the tour
Departure from Cusco at approximately 8:00 am and continue along the highway to the south, we will cross different typical and very traditional villages, each one with interesting customs and way of life.
We will pass through the town of Chicharrones, then the guinea pigs, the duck and the bread, an exquisite tour to learn about the customs of each one of them.
Our tour continues to the Urcos lagoon where we find the famous CANINCUNCA chapel, the smallest on the Baroque art route. Built in honor of the Virgen de la Candelaria, it contains incredible mural paintings from the 17th century.
We continue along the valley route to the town of HUARO, built in the middle of the 17th century in honor of Juan Bautista, there is a combination of unique beauty due to the mixture of popular art with the baroque. Murals and paintings with interesting stories of life and passages of the time.
We arrive at ANDAHUAYLILLAS where the temple of the same name is located, also known as the Sistine Chapel of America, for its surprising pieces of religious art and its only nave almost completely covered in gold leaf, its monumental paintings and canvases.
After visiting this Temple, we return to Cusco around 12:30 p.m. approximately , to visit our fourth destination, the Temple of the Company of Jesus , which began to be built in 1576 on the Amaru Cancha Inca temple, and was rebuilt in its entirety after a strong earthquake that affected the city in 1650. Its interior preserves one of the most imposing High Altars made of carved cedar wood and covered in gold leaf. As well as a rich collection of sculptures and paintings from the Cusco School.
