Itinerary
Day 1
Start of the tour
- Check in at our office in the center of Madrid fifteen minutes before the departure of your tour. Climb aboard one of our air-conditioned buses and head to Ávila with a local guide.
- Our first stop will be in the city of Ávila, one of the best preserved fortified cities in Spain. Follow your guide on a guided tour of the Old Town to discover the impressive history of this city. See Romanesque-style churches, Gothic palaces and a fortified cathedral from the Middle Ages. Visit the walls of Ávila and imagine the stories they have seen through the centuries. Marvel at the fortification and towers, which have earned the city UNESCO World Heritage Site status. We will continue the tour to Segovia. If you have decided to include the option in your reservation, the time has come to delight yourself with a wonderful lunch menu. Those who have not included the option will have 1 hour and a half for lunch. Take advantage of this time and visit the most important Roman construction on the Peninsula, the Segovia Aqueduct!
- Meet your guide in front of the cathedral for an exterior tour of the cathedral. Walk through the old Jewish quarter of the city towards the Alcazar of Segovia. Enjoy a guided tour of the site and marvel at this spectacular fortification. Did you know that its architecture inspired Walt Disney for one of his movies? Can you tell us which one?
